Bio
Joyce Rice is a cartoonist and designer with a focus in journalism and education. She makes comics, games, and other digital products to help newsrooms and educators tell powerful stories.
Her work has been written about by Newsweek, Fast Company, Citylab, and others. She has spoken about media innovation and collaboration at SXSW, Game Developers Conference, on The Verge's Top Shelf, and elsewhere. Her past clients include PBS, Vox Media, Bed Bath & Beyond, and more.
During the summers, she is a lecturer at California College of the Arts where she teaches cartoonists and designers how to code so they can share their own digital stories.
Joyce is represented by Kate McKean at Howard Morhaim Literary Agency.
